FULL-TIME FAMILY ASSISTANT NEEDED IN EASTLAKE – APRIL START

OUR FAMILY: Relaxed, empathetic, down-to-earth Midwestern folk who love the outdoors, our dogs, having a laugh, and are generally chill people. Our kiddo will be three-months-old at the start date and is sleeping and eating like a champion! As first-time parents we are looking for the right person to help us fill in the gaps as we get back to work and figure out exactly what the heck we’re supposed to be doing!

OUR HOME: Our home is our sanctuary. We keep things clean and organized and hope to keep that up. Logistically it’s a tri-level townhouse, so stairs are definitely a thing here. We live in the heart of Eastlake with some lovely views of Lake Union, and are right near a park. We have two very well-behaved and well-exercised Siberian Huskies who are incredibly sweet and loving- they do shed a lot though!

OUR GOALS: Our goal is to have a solid relationship with our Family Assistant. They will be an integral part of our family by helping to shape our child’s life, and so naturally we want to make sure that we treat one another with mutual respect, care, and empathy.

OUR SONG: Not a song, a whole album. Stevie Wonder’s “Songs in the Key of Life”

OUR FAMILY ASSISTANT: Will be warm, reliable, easy-going, and ready to partner with us in raising our little one. We envision a collaborative and relaxed atmosphere. As work-from-home parents, we’ll be spending considerable time together, so a genuine connection is vital. Reliability, honesty, empathy, and kindness are paramount. Experience with newborn and infant care is crucial. We’re excited to welcome someone who can seamlessly transition between childcare and light household tasks. We have solid systems to start from but need help with the daily upkeep. (e.g., light errands, light laundry, unpacking groceries, light meal prep/cooking, and tidying/organization)

START: Early to mid-April.

SCHEDULE: 40 hours guaranteed. M-F, 8am-4pm.

RATE: $36-38 per hour.

BENEFITS: Guaranteed Hours, Sick Pay, Paid Federal Holidays, PTO, Healthcare Stipend.

FT FAMILY ASSISTANT NEEDED ON BAINBRIDGE ISLAND – ASAP START

OUR FAMILY: Is nerdy and passionate. We relish downtime at home, but also enjoy playing pickleball on our property and walking on nearby trails and nature reserves to catch the changing seasons. We love collecting new board games, rewatching a favorite Harry Potter movie, and whipping up a homemade pizza or dessert. In addition to our family of 4, we have 5 lovable layer hens who are mostly self-sufficient, but enjoy free-ranging time in our yard when time permits. Our son is an upbeat, independent 9-year-old who is a serious bookworm and lover of Dungeons and Dragons and all things fantasy. He enjoys challenging himself with new math concepts, drawing his own maps, and playing board games. Our curious and chatty 11-month-old daughter adores songs and nature. She’s always excited to help turn the pages during storytime and is often known to shriek with delight on walks through our nearby beachfront park.

OUR HOME: Is lighthearted, welcoming, and transparent. While appreciating goofiness and humor, we also live and breathe the concept of the Golden Rule, believing it vitally important to do right in our actions and behaviors and guide our children to do the same. We are grateful to live on a charming, picturesque island, and are minutes away from beaches, parks, and lovely shops that you are also sure to enjoy! We understand your commute may involve a (very scenic) ferry ride, and we are fully prepared to reimburse your travel costs to come to our little slice of paradise!

OUR GOALS: Dad works a demanding, full-time job from a detached home office, with occasional travel. Mom plans to go back to school (and eventually work). We’re looking for a long-term partner in caregiving who is adaptable, patient, and creative. Initially, they will help provide another set of hands with family assistant tasks, with occasional childcare of our soon-to-be 1-year-old when Mom is away from home. Over time, this role will transition to more of a traditional nanny role, with mainly childcare responsibilities.

OUR SONG: Anything from Sting gets us dancing!

OUR NANNY: Warm and personable, responsible and honest, with a true passion for children and their development. Adept at suggesting activities, hands-on crafts/art, and materials that can help our kids flourish. Ideally, someone who can learn our routines and provide support with household tasks, like vacuuming, limited dishwashing, etc. without too much direction. Most of your responsibility will be household support, with some one-on-one care of our infant during the day. Occasionally, we will need help with picking up our son from school or his bus stop. The cherry on top would be if you’re open to offering coverage of both kids for a date night every few months!

START: 02-24-2025, Very flexible for the right fit.

OUR HOME: With multiple pets and two littles, it’s highly-organized chaos. We do our best with systems and lists, but embracing the noise and the mess is part of life here. Mom and Dad both work from home, but our goal is to let you do your job so we can do ours.

OUR GOALS: Though we somehow now qualify as experienced parents, we’ve got a lot of parenting firsts still ahead of us. FT NANNY NEEDED IN SAMMAMISH FOR SISTERS – FEB START!

OUR FAMILY: We’re a fun-loving crew of 5 (soon to be 6!) who love hanging out and traveling together. Our crew consists of Mom and Dad, both working professionals, our two wonderful older kids (13 and 10) who are with us every other week (no care needed for them, though), an adorable 23-month-old daughter, who is literally the cutest little bundle of joy, and a new daughter arriving this Spring. You’ll be spending time with our toddler, who is a total ray of sunshine with a smile that could light up an entire room and a personality to match! She’s a big fan of hugging her stuffed animals, flipping through books, playing with her toys, and soaking up the world around her. She’s also a mini chatterbox, surprising us daily with new words and sentences—it’s like she’s always got something clever to say! She’s got a wave and a smile for everyone she meets, and she’s always grooving to any tune with a good beat. Plus, she’s best buds with our mini Goldendoodle, who follows her everywhere like a little shadow. We’re expecting a baby girl this spring, so soon enough we’ll have two little ones to care for when mom transitions back to work.  At the heart of it all, we’re a close-knit, fun-loving family who loves to sit down for family dinners, check in with each other, and dream up our next big adventure.

OUR HOME: Generally neat and tidy, though that doesn’t apply to the kid’s rooms as they have their own definition of a clean room these days. We are fairly organized and tend to keep a stocked fridge and pantry unless we miss our weekly trip to the store. Mom and dad both work from home in separate office spaces but will pop in to say hi, or have a snack together if/when it is not distracting.

OUR GOALS: The older kids manage themselves for the most part, so we are only looking for a caring, loving, experienced nanny to take care of our wonderful little toddler, followed by our new baby later this summer. We want this person to spend the days working on both toddler and baby developmental milestones, growing their identity, creativity, and patience while helping them reach their full little human potential. We are looking for someone who can make a long-term commitment to grow with our family and care for both of our little sweeties!

OUR SONG: We Are Family by Sister Sledge

OUR NANNY: Will be caring, loving, patient, teaching, attentive, energetic, trustworthy, and excited to see our kiddos each morning. Our nanny can wear multiple hats and go from being a creator, teacher, and playmate with our toddler to a more structured, seasoned expert providing care for a small baby as they move through all new baby developmental milestones. Someone who is flexible with scheduling and is a great communicator. We would also love someone who has a knack for whipping up healthy little meals for the little ones to enjoy.

START: ASAP!

SCHEDULE: 40-45 hours guaranteed, M-F 8am-5pm, with some flexibility in the 4-5pm window if needed.

RATE: $36/hr, rate will increase to $38 when baby sister is added to your care.

BENEFITS: Guaranteed Hours, Child-Focused Role, Sick Pay, 8 Paid Federal Holidays, 10 days PTO, Mileage Reimbursement, $200 Monthly Healthcare Stipend.

REQUIREMENTS:

*You must meet the following requirements to be considered. Sorry, no exceptions.

  • Experience: 3+ years of recent professional nanny experience with children of similar ages.
  • References: Stellar feedback from at least 3 recent nanny employers. Each reference must have employed you for a minimum of one year of continuous childcare.

  • Safety: CPR & First Aid certified or willing to complete before hire.
  • Commitment: Ability to commit to the family’s timeline.
